No. You are not required to separately register. Co-owners who rent and maintain property (including a husband and wife) but who do not operate as a partnership, corporation or trust, may report the gross income under a single 6 general excise and transient accommodations identification number.
In addition, a husband and wife may report rental income both from properties which are separately owned and from properties which are jointly owned (other than as a partnership) under a single identification number.
